Dated September 23, 1993 for episode number 201, “Bing, Bang, Boom”, of the TV sitcom Mad About You.
Mad About You aired on NBC from 1992 to 1997. The popular sitcom, which starred Helen Hunt in her Emmy and Golden Globe winning role as Jamie Buchanan, co-created (with Danny Jacobson) by Paul Reiser, who was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1995 for his role as Paul Buchanan. Based on comic Reiser's life, the sitcom developed a loyal fan following and featured a number of famous guest stars. HELEN HUNT, born in Los Angeles, California in 1963, was the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning co-star of the TV sitcom Mad About You (1992-1997). She won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Actress in 1998 for As Good as It Gets and starred in a number of feature films, most notably Twister (1996), Cast Away (2000), and What Women Want (2000). She also appeared on Broadway in Life x 3 in 2003. PAUL REISER, born in New York City in 1957, is an Emmy Award-nominated American comedian who got his start on the stage of Binghamton University, performing in New York City comedy clubs during summer breaks. Reiser is probably best known for co-creating the TV sitcom Mad About You (1992-1999), which is loosely based on his life. The show earned him Emmy nods for Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series four years in a row, from 1994 to 1997. Reiser made his film debut in Diner (1982) and went on to perform in numerous comedies, including Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), Bye Bye Love (1995), and The Thing About My Folks (2008). He's has done drama, including greedy Company man Carter Burke in Aliens (1986), a sterling example of counterintuitive casting, and the BBC's My Beautiful Son (2001). JOHN PANKOW, born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1954, is probably best known as Ira Buchman, cousin of Paul Reiser's character Paul Buchman, in Mad About You (1993-1999). He got his start on the New York stage before debuting on TV in Life on the Mississippi (1980) and the movie The Chosen (1981), the first of almost 30 movie and TV shows on his resume. LEILA KENZLE, born in Patchogue, New York in 1960, earned a BFA in theatre from the Arts Conservatory at Rutgers University. Life as a budding actress proved to be too much for her, and she gave up acting temporarily to become a hotel phone operator. But a casting director persuaded her to get back into acting, and she soon landed her big break in the off-Broadway hit Tony 'n Tina's Wedding. She made her TV debut with a bit part on The Cosby Show in 1989 and has numerous TV appearances since, including a recurring role on DiResta (1998-1999) and as Fran Devanow, friend of Helen Hunt's character Jamie Buchman, on Mad About You (1992-1999). Kenzle made the jump to the silver screen in 1991 in Other People's Money and has since appeared in White Oleander (2002) and The Hot Chick (2003). CYNTHIA HARRIS, born in New York City in 1934, got her acting start on the stage. She made her Broadway debut in 1966 in The Best Laid Plans and her first of over 50 movies and TV shows in the 1968 film Isadora. Harris has made numerous TV guest appearances, with recurring roles in L. A. Law from 1986-1987, Law & Order from 1991-1997, and Rescue Me 2004-2007. She also played Sylvia Buchman, mother of Paul Reiser's character Paul Buchman, in Mad About You (1993-1999). Lightly toned. Faint dents at top and bottom edges. Otherwise, fine condition.
