    Description

    Muncie Nodular Iron Midplate
    This replaces the weak aluminum midplate in a Muncie 4 speed. It eliminates the sloppy rear bearing fit. You no longer have to worry about hard shifts widening the rear bearing snap ring groove common with aluminum plates. The "Super 661 Nodular Iron Mid Plate" acts as a girdle preventing case twist during holeshots. Best used with a Supercase ( 18-410-002 ) and with countershaft 297-3AHP ( AVAILABLE ON EBAY ) which will allow the shaft to be bolted to the plate for additional support. Plate is also machined to allow through venting of the main case and tail. Our Super-661 Nodular Iron plate is machined on the latest state of the art 5 axis Hass CNC machines.

    Accuracy is amazing and strength far exceeds the poor dimensions of offshore iron plates sold on Ebay. Offshore iron plates can have a .014" thickness variance and have crude machining. Compare the pictures. Yes, the "other" plates may work but your transmission gears will eventually fail from misalignment. Comes with rear bearing snap ring and dowel.
