Rare Lantern Brass carbide bunker. Vintage Germany.

Description

Carbide lantern - brass body with a torch that fits inside the body. A carbide torch with a rectangular water tank and reflector is inserted through the rear cover, which opens on hinges. The tank is equipped with a stopper and a manual regulator for water supply. Dismountable burner (threaded connection). Straight reflector, metal. The lantern has a wooden carry handle on top.
Height without handle 24 cm. Bottom size 11 x 9 cm (1cm = 0.39in). Weight - 0.9kg=1.81lb.
Early 20th century. The lamp has undergone minor restoration. Therefore, the hallmarks are not visible. Collectible. It has not been tested for performance.
