To my bidders: For years I have done business on eBay using the name: gpstorageco*. The items I will be selling from this point on are being sold from my estate and from the estates of friends and relatives.
This WWII German Walther P-38 Upper Assembly belonged to a friend of mine who recently passed away. He set aside vintage military items over the years. This slide & barrel assembly was found in his gun cabinet with a few extra holsters & parts. I believe these parts came from the Walther factory after it was captured by US forces.
This WWII German Walther P-38 upper assembly is very clean/complete overall and consists of the compete slide, the barrel and barrel retaining lug (see photos). Slide has a blued body and is marked P.38 2963c ac 45 to one side and is waffen proofed Eagle 359 to the other (see photos). The slide retains 96% of it's original blue finish with some minimal wear losses (see photos). The barrel numbered 8397b as is the retaining lug (see photos). It retains most all of it's original blue finish with some wear losses to the top (see photos). The rifling is excellent (see photo),
This WWII German Walther P-38 Pistol Upper Assembly is guaranteed to be an original period piece as described. It shows some minimal wartime use but the overall presentation is excellent. Super bringback piece for the WWII German pistol collector and an excellent opportunity to complete a P38 rig that has some worn or missing parts. This is a nice clean example of a late war Walther P38 slide & barrel.
